Shirono Serving Bowl

Description:
The mother of all serving bowls, with beauty and function in spades. Light to the touch, but sturdy for everyday use - serve salads, sides, and anything in between.  Created by Fusanosuke, a 15th-generation ceramicist who hails from a family long dedicated to white porcelain craftsmanship. He works exclusively with Amakusa pottery stone, shapes each piece by hand on a potter's wheel, and crafts the final work by carving out negative spaces. The simplicity and warmth of this bowl and other works reflect his ethos of creating pieces to be used, not just to be admired.
