These square-shaped sauce plates with sumo motifs depict the two main styles of ring-entering ceremony (dohyoiri) by the highest-ranking wrestlers (yokozuna).  Hand-drawn by a craftsman carrying on the legacy of a 400-year old kiln.  

Perfect for serving small bites and condiments like dipping sauce, olives, salt, herbs, cheese, and butter. Or use it as a trinket tray for personal items.
