The whale motifs - hand-drawn by a 14th-generation master of a family that built Mikawachi ware - give the traditional chrysanthemum-shaped plate a modern twist. The whales are a nod to the locale, whose culture has long been intertwined with these majestic creatures. Perfect for serving small bites and condiments like dipping sauce, pickles, salt, herbs, cheese, and butter. Or use it as a trinket tray for personal items.
